No Pulse at Frank-N-Burger [Empty in Smithtown]

St. James burger joint shuts its doors.

There's nothing monstrous happening at St. James-based Frank-N-Burger anymore.

The movie monster themed burger joint shut its doors in January, leaving an empty storefront at the spot once well-known for its large hot dogs and unusual burger toppings including ham, pineapple and "sweet" sauce.

The restaurant's website, however, is still in operation.

The eatery was the first business to move in to the new shopping center at 739 Middle Country Road, which as built adjacent to .

Currently a Smart Mart convenience store and a martial arts studio are the only businesses to occupy the building.

With Frank-N-Burger gone, that leaves and Bobby's Burger Palace as the only burger-focused eateries in the Smithtown area.
