Hurricane Irene's wrath was felt by the trees throughout St. James as streets are now cluttered with uprooted trees, branches, leaves and debris. Power lines have been knocked down or still have trees dangling from them, trees are resting upon local businesses and more.

Again, has anyone heard about power restoration??? The phone message from LIPA is from 11 am. Perhaps someone is married to a LIPA worker and has some inside info you care to share? I will check later since my battery is almost gone.

Power north of Jericho, off of Plymouth Blvd has been restored at 5:55pm.
