Residents Enjoy Strawberry Fields Summer Concert

Beatles tribute band plays at second-to-last library concert of the season.

Beatles tribute band Strawberry Fields performed a complete Beatles set in full costume and make-up for Smithtown residents on Thursday night as part of the annual library concert series.

The Family Summer Concert Series, made possible by a grant secured by Suffolk County Legis. Lynne Nowick, takes place on Thursday evenings on the library lawn. The concert series is in its sixth season.

"It is a Norman Rockwell type setting," Nowick says at each concert.

The last concert will be on Thursday, Aug. 26. It was rescheduled after inclement weather took place on Aug. 12 and will feature oldies band Risky Business.
