Saturday Morning Stabbing Outside Local Smithtown Pub

Smithtown man arrested for stabbing three bar patrons.

Kurt Meyer Jr., of Smithtown, was arrested today for stabbing three men outside of Eagle's Pub on Smithtown Bypass at 3:13 a.m. Saturday morning.

"Apparently he had been creating a problem in the bar earlier and was asked to leave," said Lieutenant Fitzpatrick of the Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct.

Meyer stabbed the three men with a pocket knife in the arms and legs following a confrontation outside of the pub, according to Lt. Fitzpatrick. Meyer fled and police officers located and arrested him several blocks from the bar.
