Smithtown Scenes: Kayaking, A Popular Local Pastime
Bob Koliner and his team describe the kayaking scene along the Nissequogue River here in Smithtown.
Bob Koliner has owned Bob's Canoe Rental in Smithtown since 1977. He has seen kayaking increase in popularity significantly among local residents since then.
Local kayakers begin the five-mile journey down the Nissequogue River from Paul T. Given County Park, right off of very busy Main Street (25/25A), and continue down to the Kings Park Bluff.
