While American Roadside Burgers on Main Street in Smithtown has all the classic burger combinations you'd expect from a reliable burger joint, it often experiments with new combinations and flavors through its locally dubbed Smithtown Burger. Here's the latest one, which we tried this week.

What's Inside: Two ground beef patties, zingy Chipotle sauce, blue cheese crumbles, thick cucumber slices, red onion.

Eat this Because: For starters, have you ever had cucumbers on a burger? Not pickles, but cucumbers. The crunch the give the burger adds a great layer of texture. At the same time, the tangy sauce and piquant blue cheese play nice together.

Bonus: Part of the proceeds from American Roadside's often-changing Smithtown Burger go towards the restaurant's charities, with the money directed at programs for children and families.
