Yogurtini to Open Thursday

The owner says the variety makes Yogurtini the go-to destination for frozen yogurt.

Locals don't have to wait much longer for the arrival of on Main Street as the store is set to open Thursday.

According to the company website, Yogurtini is a self-serve frozen yogurt shop that offers 10 or more flavors in each store with a packed toppings bar.

While Yogurtini is opening in an area where there are two other similar businesses –  in the Branch Shopping Center and  in the  shopping center – owner Ellen Bedziner said Yogurtini should be the go-to choice of locals.

"Yogurtini separates itself from other fro-yos through it's eclectic product," she said via email.

When deciding what franchise to bring to Smithtown, Bedziner said Yogurtini's look and business practices stood out from other frozen yogurt companies.

"We were attracted to the franchise by it's ease of operations," she said. "The sophisticated look and feel of the stores sets us apart from the rest of the marketplace."

Yogurtini will be open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. While the store will open Thursday, Bedziner said there will be a grand opening celebration Sept. 15, with proceeds raised throughout the day being donated to Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure to fight against breast cancer.
