Good morning Smithtown. Here's what's happening in town on Wednesday.

-DDI is hosting an employment open house for teaching assistants for their Smithtown and Huntington locations. Head down to their Smithtown location at 99 Hollywood Drive from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

-Smithtown School District Superintendent announced his resignation last night at the board of education meeting. Check back later for the full story.

-A new restaurant may soon fill the space of the former FeelGoods Cafe in St. James.

-Suffolk Legislator Lynne Nowick, R-St.James, cross endorsed Supervisor Patrick Vecchio and councilman Thomas McCarthy in their bids for re-election this upcoming November at The Watermill in Smithtown on Tuesday afternoon.
