Is there a better summer treat to help cool you down then ice cream? Drive around in the Smithtown, St. James and Northport areas, and you will find numerous ice cream shops. From the more commercial companies like Baskin Robbins, Carvel and even Friendlys to the mom and pop stores like Lics in downtown Northport, or Uncle G's on Main Street in Smithtown. But none compare to the new ice cream joint in St. James.
The New York Stuffed Cone Co, does it all. Delicious ice cream, with flavors like red velvet, cookie monster, banana butterfinger or peanut butter fudge. Each flavor hits the spot. Throw a few scoops in one of their waffle cones, and enjoy. And if you want a stuffed cone recommendation, try the Strong Island - salted caramel & banana ice creams, crushed PB cups, Heath bar and PB sauce.
With sundaes, shakes, baked goods, floats, breakfast and almost anything else you can imagine, you cannot miss with this place. My family and I have been frequent visitors since this place opened, and are looking forward to seeing this place become a staple in the community, adding to more great places in the neighborhood.
The owner and staff are awesome, and although the line may get a little crazy (obviously other people feel as I do) they do a great job in making sure the wait isn't too long. Highly recommended.
