Creative Poetry Writing Workshop at Walt's House

HUNTINGTON STATION, NY - Walt Whitman Birthplace

Association (WWBA) hosts a creative poetry writing workshop with internationally acclaimed writer Geraldine Green on Saturday, July 12 from 2-5 p.m.

"Stimulate Your Writing!" is a workshop led by Green that encourages attendees to play with language to generate new work with the opportunity to share poems and receive constructive criticism in a friendly and supportive environment at Whitman's historic home. Green has extensive experience tutoring creative writing workshops for a wide variety of writers ranging in age and experience, especially those new to poetry.

Geraldine Green, who holds a PhD in Creative Writing Poetry from Lancaster University, is a Cumbrian poet who loves to share her poetry at home and internationally. She's read widely and given lectures in the UK, North America, Italy and Greece. Green has published five poetry collections, including The Skin(2003), Passio (2006), The Other Side of the Bridge (2012), and, most recently, Salt Road (2013).
