Hauppauge's Star Communications Invites Nonprofits to Apply for "Star Printing Grant- $5,000"

HAUPPAUGE, NY, NOVEMBER 13, 2014 – Star Communications, a leading commercial printing and marketing communications company located in Hauppauge, has announced that it is accepting applications from Long Island-based nonprofit organizations (501(c) 3), to be awarded the company’s Star Printing Grant – $5,000, a grant to be used for printed materials valued at $5,000.

In the fall of 2013, Star Communications made a major investment in its operation and printing capabilities.  A newly installed Heidelberg Speedmaster enables the company to rapidly and efficiently produce a wider-range of high-quality cost-effective full color and other print products.  To introduce the company’s new capabilities and to demonstrate its support for the Long Island nonprofit community, this grant will be awarded to a qualified nonprofit organization before the end of 2013. 

Nonprofit organizations interested in applying for this grant are invited to submit specific information and documents.  For details about the Star Printing Grant – $5,000 and an official application, please e-mail the name of your nonprofit organization and include the name of a contact person to Joe Crook at jcrook@StarCommunications.us.   Applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2013.

Star Communications management will award the Star Printing Grant – $5,000 to one Long Island nonprofit organization on the basis of the following criteria:

1.    How the nonprofit organization plans to utilize the grant (description of project);

2.    How the grant will help fulfill the nonprofit organization’s mission or purpose.

3.    Phone or in person interview with representative of nonprofit organization.

4.    Review of Information gathered by Star Communications related to the nonprofit organization.

The nonprofit organization that is awarded the Star Printing Grant – $5,000 will be notified by phone, email or mail by management of Star Communications no later than December 31, 2013. For more information about Star Communications visitwww.StarCommunications.us.
