100 Things to Do in Smithtown: #73 - Summer Teen Beach Party

Teens are invited to party at the beach for free in a supervised drug and alcohol free environment provided by the Smithtown Veteran's Youth Program.

“Summer Nights of Fun” are provided by the Smithtown Veterans’ Youth Program where teens ages 14 to 19 are invited to a free summer beach party at Sunken Meadow State Park on 100 East Main St. every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. in a supervised drug and alcohol free environment.

The program takes place at field three and features inflatables, DJ contests with prizes, Wii Night on a big movie screen, Game Show Night, Barbeque Night, Big Screen Movie Night, Carnival Night, local bands, Mexican Night with tacos and more, volleyball on the beach, basketball and more.

Registration is not required to participate.

The program is sponsored by the Suffolk County Police Department and Smithtown Veterans’ Youth Program.

Sunken Meadow State Park on the Long Island Sound also offers many activities including canoeing and kayaking, hiking and biking, horseback riding and picnicking along with a boardwalk with concessions, many athletic fields and more.
