Youth Art Showcase at the Smithtown Township Arts Council

The annual showcase opened Feb. 16 at Mills Pond House, and features artwork created by more than 250 students in Suffolk County. This gallery is open seven days a week; Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 12-4 p.m.

Live Music Friday's at Commack's Perfecto Mundo Latin Fusion Bistro

You could enjoy live music every Friday and Saturday night at the Commack restaurant, beginning at 7 p.m.

Karaoke Night at Grafton Street Pub

Feel like singing some of your favorite songs with friends and family over food and drinks? Head over to the pub Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Pilates Reformer Group Session for Beginners

Head over to Prana Pilates, Cycling and Yoga in St. James on Monday with $30 at 10:30 a.m. for a Pilates class on the Reformer Machine.

Irish Step Dancing Lessons

Head over to the Frank Brush Barn with $15 at 4 p.m. all week and you could learn how to Irish step dance with the An Rince Mor School of Irish Dance.

"Why are Smithtown teachers continuing to pay for school supplies out of their ownRead More pocket?" Since when? Ever see the big list of supplies kids get in their folders at the end of the year for them to bring in next year? I think you're talking about the wrong school district.
