5 Local Events to Hit This Weekend

Check out some of the activities going on locally this weekend.

Are you a fan of Hello Kitty? Head over to the Commack branch of the Smithtown Special Library District to celebrate all things Hello Kitty through stories and crafts. Ages for the event are from 3-5 years old with a parent or caregiver.

Interested in knowing more about the town’s most prominent residential architecture? Check out "History Behind Four Walls: Smithtown’s Historic Houses" this Saturday starting at 10 a.m.

Want to see a performance this weekend? Check out "Avenue Q" being put on Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $45.

These pets need a home, you could be the one to give them one on Sunday at 11 a.m.

There's free sampling every weekend at the supermarket, as well as a live Italian singer every Sunday afternoon while you eat and shop.

"Why are Smithtown teachers continuing to pay for school supplies out of their ownRead More pocket?" Since when? Ever see the big list of supplies kids get in their folders at the end of the year for them to bring in next year? I think you're talking about the wrong school district.
