5 Local Events to Hit This Weekend

Here are some suggestions on how you could spend your time this weekend.

7th Annual 5k Running of the Bull in Memory of Courtney Sipes

Get down to the school district's administration building on New York Avenue at 8 a.m. with $20 and go for a run that supports both Angela's House and the Courtney Sipes Memorial Foundation.

Head over to the 2012 Dog Show/Expo at Flowerfield in St. James, where some of the proceeds will go to dog related charities.

Kings Park Farmers Market

Want some fresh fruits and vegetables? Head over to the farmers market, located at the intersection of Route 25A and Church Street, across from the Kings Park Fire Department, on Sunday starting at 9 a.m.

Live Music Performed at Sertinos Cafe

You could enjoy the sounds of local musician Kenny P. on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. over coffee and dinner with friends. The show is free.

"Why are Smithtown teachers continuing to pay for school supplies out of their ownRead More pocket?" Since when? Ever see the big list of supplies kids get in their folders at the end of the year for them to bring in next year? I think you're talking about the wrong school district.
