It's below freezing out, but we have a list of places to thaw for those who dare to venture outside.

Brrr, it's cold outside. 

In less than a minute, it's easy to feel the record-low temperatures chilling your face, numbing your fingers and creeping past your jacket. Those who dare ventue outside in Smithtown will need a way to get warm. 

We've put together this list of the 8 hottest places to wait out the freeze, or thaw out after heading outside. 

Cold? Try treating yourself to: 

* Del Fuego Tex Mex Kitchen
With a name like "Del Fuego," you know this St. James restaurant is bound to heat things up. This Tex Mex Kitchen keeps it hot and spicy with $2 tacos every day from 11:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. It also serves up hot soup. 

*Moe's Southwest Grill 
Spicy food is a surefire way to feel warm even when the temperatures outsides are below freezing. Moe's Southwest Grill in Smithtown, located in the Uncle Guiseppe's Shopping Center on Route 111, has an entire salsa bar where patrons can choose as hot and spicy of a salsa as they dare. 

*Thai House
Thai House on Smithtown's Main Street offers an extensive range of spicy and sweet Thai cuisine in a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. If you are willing to experiment with your food, a spicy new dish might help combat the winter cold. 

*Wild Ginger 
If you want to warm up in Nesconset, stop by Wild Ginger and try ordering their Bento box lunch. Taste test their spicy sambal which comes served with a steaming bowl of miso soup and your own carafe of steaming hot tea. There's no need to share. 

*Starbucks or Smithtown Bagels
Smithtown residents love their coffee and hot cocoa. Stop by Starbucks or Smithtown Bagels, both in the Village Common off Main Street, to grab a cup of your favorite hot beverage and hold it between your cold hands, then enjoy. Both stores off their patrons free Wifi. 

*New York Stuffed Cone
It's so cold out, the last place that often comes to mind is an ice cream parlor. But New York Stuffed Cone on North Country Road in St. James has a coffee list on it's menu. Adults can grab their favorite coffeehouse drink, while kids dig into a frozen treat.
