A Sunscreen for Hair

Moroccan Oil fights frizz in this August humidity.

This week Richard Daly, of Richard Salon on Main Street, talks beating summer frizz in this hot August weather. Have a beauty question for Rich? E-mail richard@richardsalon.com with your question.

Question: What's the best way to fight frizz in this recent Smithtown humidity?

Rich: Moroccan Oil is the latest product and it is great.  Frizz occurs, in theory, because each hair strand has cracks in it. During the summer, moisture goes into those cracks and creates frizz. What this product does is fill in those cracks to prevent the moisture from setting in.  It acts like a buffer and actually behaves like a sunscreen. Sunscreen prevents UV rays from damaging the surface of the skin and Moroccan Oil prevents humidity from damaging the hair.
