All-State Agent Donates $1,000 to Smithtown Guide Dog Foundation

Kings Park agent Christopher Reimels wins $1,000 grant, which he donated to the Smithtown nonprofit.

A Kings Park insurance agent recognized for his volunteer work has turned it around, giving it back to the local community.

Allstate agent Christopher Reimels, whose office is located on Indian Heard Road, was given the Agency Hands in the Community award for his commitment for volunteering. The award came with a $1,000 grant, which Reimels donated to the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind in Smithtown, where he volunteers.

"Chris is an active and respected member of the business community, protecting people with insurance and financial services products,” said Linda Collora, New York regional sales leader at Allstate Insurance Company. “He also makes a point of getting involved personally by dedicating his time and efforts to making a difference in people’s lives."

The award is made through The Allstate Foundation, established in 1952, which helps to bring relationships, reputation and resources of Allstate to support innovative and lasting solutions that enhance people's well-being.
