Don't Miss: Fire Prevention Day in Smithtown

Smithtown Fire Department hosts safety activities for children and their family on Sunday.

It's never too early to learn about fire safety.

Smithtown Fire Department is hosting a Fire Prevention Day for children and adults on Sunday, from noon to 3 p.m. 

Fire Prevention Day will feature fire safety activities for both children and adults, allowing the entire family to learn basic fire safety and prevention. These activities include stop, drop and roll; spraying a fire hose, meet the fire chief and multiple fire trucks and ambulances. 

There will be demonstrations given on burn safety, a fire extinguisher demo and an arson dog demonstration. 

The event will be held rain or shine at the 100 Elm Avenue firehouse.  

Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts who attend the event are eligible to receive a special patch.
