Don't Miss: Labor Day Celebration at Short Beach

If you're looking for a way to celebrate the end of Summer, what better way than a beach bash. 

Linda Browne, a Kings Park resident, is hosting a Labor Day beach party for all Town of Smithtown residents on Short Beach. Browne, a vendor who runs the beach's concession stand, said its her way of giving back to the community. 

"It’s a piggyback thank you to everyone for a great season," Browne said. 

There will be a live music performed by the Pete Mann’s Band, who will play an assortment of fun summer songs including Jimmy Buffett and Bob Marley.

Browne said there will also be an assortment of beer, wine and ice cream available throughout the day.  

"It’s always a good turnout on Labor Day on the weekends," she said. "It is my first time doing music down at Short Beach."
