Event Spotlight: Moe's to Host Hurricane Sandy Relief Benefit

A portion of Thursday's sales will go to various food banks in areas impacted by the storm's devastation.

While you sit and eat a meal with friends and family, there are still those out there struggling to find a warm meal in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Moe's on Route 111 in Smithtown is looking to help those people by donating a portion of Thursday's sales to various food banks in cities hit by Sandy the hardest.

Moe's will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and 10 percent of the day's sales will be donated.

The eatery took over the former home to Country Diner & Restaurant in August and is located at 77 Route 111 near Uncle Giuseppe's and Rite Aid.
