Help Wanted: Surgical Technicians, Case Managers and More

Options for Community Living in Smithtown are hiring this week for a variety of positions.  First up is the position of the Case Manager Assistant. This position will involve assisting the case manager in all activities relating to assessing patients for the level of care and assistance needed.  The position will require making telephone calls to various agencies to advocate for services for patients as well as conducting home visits, following up on patient services and maintaining all records and reports on patients.

Another position being filled this week by Options for Community Living is for the position of Case Manager for the mental health department.  The Case Manager will oversee the scattered housing program and provide support services to patients.  Other duties for this position will include writing up weekly progress notes on patients, oversee medication maintenance and provide transportation for patients as needed.
