Holiday Toy Drive, Board of Ed Meeting this Week in Smithtown

Your guide to what's happening in Smithtown: Dec. 9 - 13.

Clothing Drive
Students of Accompsett Elementary School will be holding its first Clothing Drive on Monday. Residents are asked to drop off donated clothing, shoes, linens, hats, belts, stuffed animals, small hard toys, pocketbooks and backpacks in well-tied bags around the back of the school building.

Holiday Toy and Food Drive
Tacken Elementary School will be holding a Holiday Toy and Food Drive from Monday to Friday. Residents are asked to drop off new, unwrapped toy donations, gift cards and non-perishable foods to help make the holidays a little bit brighter for need families. All donations will stay within the community of Tacken Elementary School.

Smithtown Board of Education
The Smithtown Central School District's Board of Education will host their first meeting of December at 8 p.m. Tuesday at New York Avenue school. Watch Patch this week for a preview of what's on their agenda.

Smithtown Board of Zoning Appeals
Town of Smithtown's Board of Zoning Appeals will host a public hearing this upcoming Tuesday, 7 p.m. at the Eugene A. Cannataro Senior Citizen Center, 420 Middle Country Road, Smithtown.

Drop & Shop
Abrakadoole in St. James is offering a Drop & Shop camp on Wednesday nights, where parents can drop off children ages 4 and up for a fun-filled night of books, music and artistic fun, while parents get some holiday shopping done.
