A team of junior varsity cheerleaders did what they do best - bring good cheer to the community - at Smithtown Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation on Tuesday.
The members of the Ward Melville High School junior varsity squad spent the day with the seniors, performing their dances and cheers and doing other activities with them as well.
They plan to visit the Setauket VFW on Sept. 11 to spend the afternoon with veterans and thank them for their service to the country.
The 25 team members, coached by Sabrina Glantz, are in the process of raising money to compete at a national competition and will hold fundraisers in the coming months.
