Running of the Bull 5K Set for Saturday

Registration begins at 8 a.m.

Smithtown's annual 5K run to kick off the fall, the Running of the Bull, is set for Saturday at 8 a.m.

The Damianos Realty Group, along with the Greater Smithtown Chamber of Commerce, is sponsoring the seventh annual run, open to all runners, walkers, family, friends and fans. The race will be kicked off by State Sen. John Flanagan.

Regisration for the event will take place at the Smithtown Central School District's administration building on New York Avenue at 8 a.m. Following the regisration, the 1K Walk is set to start at 8:45 a.m., followed by the run at 9 a.m.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to Angela’s House, an association for technology dependent children, as well as the Courtney Sipes Memorial Foundation.

"Why are Smithtown teachers continuing to pay for school supplies out of their ownRead More pocket?" Since when? Ever see the big list of supplies kids get in their folders at the end of the year for them to bring in next year? I think you're talking about the wrong school district.
