This Week at the Library District: Celebrate National Library Week

This week the Smithtown Special Library District features events ranging from celebrating National Library Week to learning how to properly meditate.

This week is National Library Week and the Smithtown is celebrating all week for children and adults alike. To kick off the week a raffle is being held all weeklong at all the branchs for a lucky winner to get a gift certificate to the Millenium Diner in Smithtown. Froggy will also be making a few appearances during the week to visit children during programs. First up he will be at Pajama Storytime on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Froggy will then be back again on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Main Branch for another storytime program for National Drop Everything and Read Day. At both programs children of all ages are encouraged to come and listen to stories being read to them and even take a picture with Froggy.
