Antiques Shop Sets Up in Vacant St. James Greenhouse

A vacant St. James greenhouse has promising signs of a new business after being empty for nearly three years. 

New signs announce The Greenhouse Antiques & Collectibles will be opening 'soon' to North Country Road in Saint James. The business's name is clearly drawn from the shape and design of the unique building. 

Sweet Tomato Serving Up Slices in St. James

St. James newest wood-fired pizzeria has opened its doors for business on Tuesday. 

Sweet Tomato Brick-Oven Pizzeria & Grill celebrated its soft opening at 430 N. Country Road in St. James. The restaurant's re-opening comes after more than two months of renovations.

Istanbul Cafe II Serving Up Kebobs in St. James

Smithtown and St. James residents can now get a taste of the Middle East close to home. 

Istanbul Cafe II is serving up hot Turkish and Mediterranean food for customers at 412 North Country Road in St. James. The new restaurant celebrated a soft opening this past weekend. 

Nesaquake Cheerleaders Cheer for a Cure Against Breast Cancer

A Nesaquake Middle School team is fueling the fighter against breast cancer this fall. 

Nesaquake Middle School's cheerleading team has raised more then $2,500 for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk being held at Jones Beach this Saturday with their coach Wendy Scherer. 

Voters Approve Smithtown Library's $13.8M 2014 Budget

Town of Smithtown residents approved a robust $13.8 million budget for the Smithtown Special Library District on Tuesday.

The Smithtown Special Library District's $13,841,683 budget  budget for the 2014 fiscal year was approved, 1,006 votes to 577 votes against.
