X Factor Band Stirs Crowd at Smith Haven Mall
Fifth Harmony, a top finisher for the 2012 season of the television show, X Factor, caused quite a crowd at a recent outdoor performance at Smith Haven Mall.

Attillo's Grill Soon to Be Sweet Tomato
A sign hung in the window of Attillo's Grill said the restaurant is under new management and is undergoing a makeover.

According to the sign, the popular Italian restaurant at 430 North Country Road, will be renamed Sweet Tomato Brick Oven Pizza and Grill. The eatery,which relocated to St. James from Smithtown last year, will be closed for three weeks as the new owners install new brick pizza ovens. 

Smithtown East Swimmer Heads to Olympic Trials

A Smithtown East varsity swimmer recently broke two metropolitan swim records and qualified for the Olympic trials.

Benjamin Cono, 16, broke the records swimming for Team Suffolk at the Speedo Super Sectionals held last week in Buffalo, NY. Cono took first-place in the 100-meter breaststroke clocking a 1:04:39 and second in the 200-meter breaststroke with a time of 2:20:18.

Abrakadoodle Crafts Space In St. James
Kings Park resident Lisa Albert has taken her art business to Lake Avenue in St. James.

Abrakadoodle, a mobile art education franchise program will now be housed in the space formerly held by MS CUREosity Closet, which moved to bigger digs up the road earlier this year.
