Carlson Associates Files New Plans for Asphalt Plant, Trucking Station

A Kings Park industrial company has filed new plans for asphalt plant and trucking station on 25 acres along Old Northport Road. 

Carlson Associates says it has filed new site plans with Smithtown Town officials proposing to construct an asphalt production facility on 13 acres currently zoned for heavy industry, and a trucking station on 12 acres currently zoned for light industrial.

Taco Bell Demolished, Updated Building to Come

Taco Bell on Jericho Turnpike in Commack said adiós Wednesday.

The fast food restaurant, located at 2186 Jericho Tpke., was demolished in order to make way for a new, updated building.

Biz: Fairfield Plans Renovation at Newly Acquired Office Park  

The Hauppauge office park formerly known as The Woodlands has a new owner, a new moniker – and soon will have a fresh, new look as well, thanks to a major renovation project already under way. Fairfield acquired The Woodlands in a foreclosure scenario three months ago for $7.95 million, according to a National Real Estate Investor report.

Setauket's Country Corner Reopens After Renovations

It's been a long time coming. The Country Corner, a local bar that has been around for more than 100 years and which has been in Ben Saraydarian's family for 23 years, closed on Sunday for interior renovations. The bar reopened Wednesday and Saraydarian couldn't be happier with the work he and contractor Steve Molison have accomplished. "I've always wanted to do this. It's always been in the plan."
