Deals at Smithtown Bars and Grills

This week, Smithtown Shopper searches for the best bars/grills for your buck.

If you are planning a night out in Smithtown, these four bars/grills have some of the best deals in town.

Blacksmith Tavern, 197 Terry Road:

At Blacksmith Tavern there are plenty of specials all week long. This homey, but funky tavern is always packed.

Sunday is 25 cent wings, $2.50 Coors Lights, $3 Miller Lite bottles and $1.50 sliders. Monday is $10 steak night and $3 Bud drafts from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday is $2 mugs, $2 for eight wings, $2 mini burgers and $2 tacos. On Wednesday, the Pamela Betti Band performs, and Happy Hour is from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. The bar also offers $5 Jack drinks and $3 Bud taps from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Every Thursday is ladies night with $2 mixed drinks from 9 p.m. to 12 p.m., DJ Mike B and "All Star Karaoke." Friday is Happy Hour with a two for one drink special and half price appetizers from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Late night Happy Hour is from 12 a.m. to 2 a.m. with $3 Red Bull vodkas and $2 shots. Saturday from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. is $3 Grey Goose drinks and live music.

Inside there are iron fixtures, a stripped ceiling, a bar illuminated with lights, giving it a club effect, and 20 high definition televisions for viewing Monday night football. During the game is half price appetizers, free touchdown shots, free prizes and giveaways, 25 cent wings, $12 Miller Lite buckets, $3 Bud drafts and $5.95 burgers and fries.

Old Street Restaurant & Bar, 92 East Main St.:

Old Street Restaurant & Bar is a Smithtown landmark, established in 1969 and has several deals during the week. Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. is Happy Hour with a free buffet. Start a tab and pay 10 cents, half price or full price on any drink. Ladies night is Thursday from 7 p.m. until close in the bar room or at the bar - all drinks are half price.

Old Street is equipped with a 30-foot mahogany bar, comfortable booths for live music and high definition televisions for Monday night football. All beers are half price during the game with a free buffet. All appetizers are half price Friday and Saturday from 10 p.m. to midnight (dine in only). They also offer a "Recession Fighter Lunch" weekdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Katie's of Smithtown, 145 West Main St.:

Allegedly haunted Katie's is one of the oldest buildings standing in Smithtown. Katie's has two floors and two bars with a back patio and tiki bar. They are equipped with an Internet juke box, pool table and foosball table.

Katie's offers several specials during the week. On Tuesday there is an open jam with George Cintron and Rob Demartino at 8:30 p.m. On Thursday there is karaoke and psychic readings at 10 p.m. Every Friday is Happy Hour with drink specials like $3 Miller bottles and a free buffet from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. On the weekend they have DJ Jazzy Jess upstairs and more – all for no cover.

Rockwell's Bar and Grill, 60 Terry Rd.:

Rockwell's Bar and Grill has a variety of weekly specials. Sunday is family pasta night and $20 bottles of wine. Monday is $16.95 barbeque and brew night with $3 domestic drafts all day. Tuesday is $16.95 prime rib night. Wednesday is $19.95 steak and seafood. "Wine down Thursdays" offers half price bottles of wine (with two entries) and half price mixed drinks for ladies from 8 p.m. until close plus a DJ and no cover. Friday is corporate Happy Hour with twofers and half price appetizers from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a DJ. Saturday has dinner and drink specials with live music and a DJ.
