Five Lindenhurst Restaurants to Spend New Year's Eve

Patch has put together five local Lindy restaurant picks where residents could ring in 2012.

Some Lindenhurst residents will be ringing in the New Year at home with friends and family. Some will be spending it quietly. And some will be looking to head out for some fun, festivities and food.

So if you're among the residents not heading into Times Square this year, but you still want to be out and about when 2012 arrives at midnight on Saturday night, then take a look at the list Lindenhurst Patch has compiled below.

Here are five local Lindy restaurants where residents could kick back with friends, food and fun for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day: 

Alletto's will be open from 3 p.m. to midnight on New Year's Eve, marking more than 38 years serving the Lindy community from its location on East Montauk Highway. The restaurant offers seafood, aged steaks and a variety of pasta dinners. On Saturday it'll be offering the regular menu, with lobster, steak and fish being the recommended dishes. Alletto's will also be serving early-bird specials on New Year's Eve, and on New Year's Day it'll be open from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.

This Italian restuarant in the heart of the Village will be open from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.  From 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. the restaurant will be serving "a la carte" dishes, and from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., it'll be serving packages at $75 per person. The packages will include an appetizer, pasta, salad and choice of six different entrees. And, as usual, the eatery will have live music on Friday night and Saurday night, New Year's Eve.

For an evening of Old-World German Cuisine in the heart of the Village, come by anytime on New Year's Eve between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. New Year's Day the restaurant will be open from 2 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The eatery, which recalls Lindenhurst's German roots, will be offering a regular menu plus specials, and will have live entertainment Saturday and Sunday. The Village Lanterne is run by the same folks who run , so all of the desserts and pastries at are brought over fresh from .

According to the owners of this local restaurant, the only thing it overlooks is the Great South Bay. Indeed, offers one of the more scenic locations in Lindenhurst, and it'll be open regular hours on New Year's Eve (12 p.m. to 10 p.m.) and will open from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. on New Year's Day. The eatery will be offering a regular menu, which features a variety of seafood dishes.

Seeking another scenic location? Try . It's a family-style restaurant with a waterfront view right on East Montauk Highway, and it's been serving the community for more than 20 years now. Sea Haven will be open on New Year's Eve from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., and will be offering a special holiday menu starting at $17.00 per person. On New Year's Day the restaurant will be open from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., serving their regular menu.

I love Goccia D'oro ! Great food and service! Tuesday is pasta night! Can't beat the price and delicious food.
