Owner to Sell St. James Bakery

Premiere Pastry Shop could soon close after serving St. James for eight years.

After eight years in St. James, the owner of Premiere Pastry Shop on Route 25A is looking to sell and move on to a new and undetermined business venture.

The owner Nick, who declined to provide his last name, said while St. James has been good to him, the time is now to leave and start a new business.

"It pays the bills, nothing exciting. I'd like to do something better," he said.

While he does not have an exact business he'd like to open next, he said he is leaning towards either a bakery, cafe or bagel store on the north shore of Long Island. Premiere was the first and only business he has owned.

The bakery has been reviewed by customers on UrbanSpoon.com and has a perfect 100-percent rating.

The 1,600 square foot bakery is located next to Del Fuego, route: {:controller=>"listings", :action=>"show", :id=>"del-fuego"} --> and
