New Turkish Cafe Sign Hangs in Former FeelGoods Space

Coming Soon sign promises a Turkish and Mediterranean Grill will open in Saint James.

There are signs indicating a new Turkish and Mediterranean Grill is looking to start serving customers in Saint James.

Istanbul Cafe II has posted "Coming soon" signs in the windows of the former FeelGoods Cafe, located at 412 North Country Road in Saint James. Little other information is available on the restaurant' opening date.

The storefront was formerly occupied by FeelGoods Cafe, well-known for its "EdgyBurgers" line, which closed on April 1. The healthy foods cafe closed due to losses stemming from Hurricane Sandy and slower-than-expected business over the winter left owners with no other option.

We are sorry to update you with unfortunate news. While initially there was hope to keep the cafe going and re-open after a normally-slow winter, the last two weeks has been a time of serious "business soul-searching". Sadly, it's just become clear that closing is the difficult but necessary move. It is with heavy hearts to announce this to you, our loyal customers, who've been an incredible support over the years. We are so sorry to disappoint you. Unfortunately, after exhausting all possible options, it's a fact we have to face.
