A discount card and gift store recently opened within the the Village Shopping Center on Route 111, next to Uncle Guiseppe's in Smithtown.
The store features half-off greeting cards, gifts, invitations, balloons, gift bags, wrapping paper and will soon be offering lottery tickets, as well.
Sye Alvi, who works at the store, said that when a card store in the area went out of business, it created a gap that he hopes the shop will be able to fill.
Card Smart will hold a grand opening event June 8 to celebrate its new location.
