Soon-To-Be Smithtown Deli Gets Sign, Awning [Photos]

Construction continues on the West Main Street deli, Nino's Delicatessen.

Although a stop work order issued in June temporarily derailed work on the soon-to-be deli taking over the former home to , the work at Nino's Delicatessen has continued with the addition of a sign and awning.

The stop work order was issued by the Town of Smithtown for work done on the building's exterior because of a variance that was needed to install a window on the east side of the building, according to deli owner Anthony Garofalo. That window has since been installed.

Garofalo said the deli would have European style refrigerators and seating, and will serve heroes, hot food, salads, soups, breakfast food and more.

"Why are Smithtown teachers continuing to pay for school supplies out of their ownRead More pocket?" Since when? Ever see the big list of supplies kids get in their folders at the end of the year for them to bring in next year? I think you're talking about the wrong school district.
