Possible Restaurant for Former FeelGoods Cafe Spot

Cafe is one of two empty storefronts in St. James Common shopping center.

A change is underway at the St. James shopping plaza that once housed dress shop Metamorphosis and Feel Goods Café, leaving two empty spots in the small strip mall.

According to Octavius Amen, realtor for American Real Estate, owner Susan Rubino retired this past April, leaving the 1,600 square foot space vacant for the past three months.

Also empty is the once busy health food eatery, FeelGoods Café. Customers would often wait on lines that extended outside the store, which Deborah Trenkner, owner of neighboring store, Elements of Home, said was good for business.

“People who were waiting for their food or a table would often wander into my store, which was great for business and brought us some extra traffic.”

According to Amen, a new restaurant will soon fill that space.
