Smithtown Lanes Aims for Fall Opening

Work continues at bowling alley, which suffered a roof collapse from this past winter's blizzard.

Work is continuing at AMF Smithtown Lanes and will go on through the summer in hopes of opening to the public again this fall.

The bowling alley suffered a roof collapse as a result of heavy snow during February’s intense blizzard. The building was not occupied at the time of the collapse and nobody was injured.

The Commack and Centereach AMF bowling alleys have lent space to Smithtown during the rebuild.

A manager at Commack Bowl said September would be the likely time frame for the alley to open.

Workers were there on Monday said lanes still needed to be put back together and ceiling work needed to be done but roof repairs were done.
