Several Smithtown area businesses have announced delayed openings or closures Wednesday as residents and local employees dig out from roughly a foot of snow in frigid temperatures.

Here is our list of business announcements:
- Happy Time Pre-school: Closed
- Jazzercise of Nesconset: Delayed Opening until 10 a.m.
- The Litte Gym of Smithtown: Cancelled the following classes 10:30 a.m., Birds at 11:15 a.m., Bugs at 12:30 p.m. and Fun Bugs
- Saf-T-Swim: Delayed Opening at 3 p.m.
- Smithtown Fit Body Boot Camp: AM sessions are cancelled
- Smithtown Cooperative Nursery School: Closed
- Smithtown Public Library: Delayed Opening at noon
- St. Patrick's Religious Formation Center: Closed
