The Dish: Sandwich and Soup Special at Sertinos

Numerous sandwiches and panini's are offered in the "Pair Any 2 Combo," which will fill you up and without draining your wallet.

Your lunch hour is approaching, you don't have a ton of cash and you didn't brown-bag it – where could you go to get lunch?

on West Main Street could be a place for you to go as they offer the "Pair Any 2 Combo," a half sandwich and a soup or salad, all for $8.79. One of the stand-out sandwiches off the menu is the Honey Ham Bacon Club, and a delicious side is the chicken dumpling soup.

The Dish: Honey Ham Bacon Club ($8.79 as part of the "Pair Any 2 Combo"/$6.29 for a half sandwich/$7.99 for a whole sandwich)

What is it: This hot sandwich offers generous portions of ham and turkey with some crispy bacon, swiss cheese, lettuce and tomato, topped off with honey mustard. You have a choice of white or wheat bread.

How does it taste: You will taste each flavor with every bite you take, but the flavors all compliment each other well. The bold and slightly bitter flavor of the swiss cheese goes well with the sweet honey mustard, the turkey is tender and pairs well with the ham, and the sandwich is pulled together by the slightly salty (and far from greasy) crispy bacon strips.

Sides: If you're going with the "Pair Any 2 Combo" then you have a choice of a soup or a salad – for this trip to Sertinos the stand-out choice was the chicken dumpling soup ($3.99 for a cup/$4.99 for a bowl).

Beverage: Sertinos has a large selection of bottled water, all-natural energy drinks and other canned beverages, but you could also get a fountain drink (with free refills) – $1.79 for the regular size and $1.99 for the large.

Why you should eat this: The cafe offers a quick, quality meal that will fill you up and give you the fuel to get you through the rest of the work day. The Honey Ham Bacon Club and the chicken dumpling soup are two top-notch choices off the cafe's menu.

We can all make a statement one way or another when we vote. However, that statement should be madeRead More on a state level not the local level. Boards of Ed are powerless to do any real cost cutting. The state needs to take this on. We need real reform in Albany to reduce the ever increasing pensions and life long benefits that educators enjoy. Combine this with letting Albany decide salary increases for all educators and we can guaranty tax reductions over the next few years. Its that simple, Boards cannot do these. Lets get Albany to move on these NOW!
