Uniquely Natalie Brings Designer's Flair to St. James

Local Designer Natalie Weinstein celebrates grand opening of her Lake Avenue storefront.

A local interior designer is bringing her own stylish sensibilities in Saint James.

Uniquely Natalie, a new fine furniture and accessories boutique, opened its doors to customers on Lake Avenue in Saint James in late September. The store is owned by local interior designer Natalie Weinstein, who has been decorating homes and space for clients since 1973.

"If we don't have it, we can't find it," is the store's mantra, according to Weinstein.

Weinstein's interior design firm, Natalie Weinstein Design Associates, has been helping create changes in homes and commercial offices since 1973. For more than 30 years, Weinstein served as a master teacher and executive director of the Willsey Institute for Art and Interior Design.

In 2001, Weinstein created her Home Decorating Club to help give "Do-it yourselfers" tips and provide inspiration to help homeowners created empowering spaces.

Weinstein is hoping her new Saint James storefront will encourage homeowners to support local businesses and business owners to create "go to" destinations in their towns.

At the store's grand opening on Sept. 20 and 21, more then $400 was raised for Contractors for Kids, a grassroots organization that helps Long Island families with children who suffer from serious illnesses.

Uniquely Natalie is open Mondays to Saturday, from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and by appointment.  Information about Uniquely Natalie can be found on it's website and Facebook page.
