VIDEO: Sertinos Holds Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, Preps for Grand Opening

Local politicians, members of the Smithtown Chamber of Commerce and more helped bring in the new business; café owner readies staff for weekend grand opening.

Local politicians, members of the Greater Smithtown Chamber of Commerce and locals gathered Friday afternoon for the ribbon cutting ceremony at Sertinos Café, with the grand opening of the eatery just 24 hours away.

Attendees included Assemblyman Michael Fitzpatrick, R- Smithtown, Kevin Molloy and Robert Creighton of the town council, Superintendent of Highways Glenn Jorgensen, and Executive Director of the Greater Smithtown Chamber of Commerce Barbara Franco.

The Sertinos staff provided those who could make the event samples of numerous items off of the menu, from Panini’s and sandwiches to cappuccino, glace and more.

Sertinos Café will celebrate its grand opening Saturday and Sunday by giving away more than $10,000 worth of gift cards throughout the weekend free passes for bowling from AMF Smithtown Lanes, and more.

The Portland, Ore. based café was brought to Smithtown by to fill the location formerly occupied by Sizzler.
