What Kind of Store Does Huntington Station Need?

Some changes are already happening but what kind of retail does the area need?

With a organized to oppose a request for another such store, the going upscale and looking at the old Huntington Townhouse site for a store, we wonder:

What kind of retail establishment should be encouraged for Huntington Station or nearby neighborhoods? Or other kind of business? What would you like to see developed here?

Please tell us in the comments.

Agreed! I found a great pizza place in Huntington Station, though - DaVinci's on Depot Road next to 7-11.

Bring TOYS R US back!! PLEASE!!! (Updated, of course) I also miss a good book store as well. Whole Foods Market, Fairway or Trader Joe's (store with a big selection of reasonably priced natural and organic foods). I'd like to check out a Burlington or Century 21 too. Christmas Tree Shoppe or Home Goods would be awesome too. I agree - more stores that give a greater value for your dollar are needed in this area...not these upscale unattainable stores coming to the mall.
