Business Owners Missing the Social Media Beat!Facebook, Twitter, Yelp among many others are dramatically changing the landscape on how to market your business, win new customers and increase your revenues.Consumers are missing out on the premiums, electronic coupons and discounts available to them on many of the social networking sites.Recently, I have been on a Foursquare mission. Every restaurant or store I enter I immediately check in on Foursquare. Nine out of every 10 establishments are not aware of this site called Foursquare. Foursquare is a location-based social networking website for mobile devices. Users "check in" at venues by selecting from a list of venues the application locates nearby. Location is based on your GPS/Notification application in the mobile device. Each check-in awards the user points and sometimes "badges".The interesting fact about Foursquare is it receives a billion 'check-ins" per year These numbers are skyrocketing. In NY alone, the amount of hits has grown by 1000% since it's inception. As a business owner or consumer for that matter - don't you think you should be aware of Foursquare? Your customers are "checking in" right underneath your nose. More to follow! QR Codes next!
"Why are Smithtown teachers continuing to pay for school supplies out of their own…Read More pocket?"
Since when? Ever see the big list of supplies kids get in their folders at the end of the year for them to bring in next year? I think you're talking about the wrong school district.
