Kings Park

Kings Park High School been ranked inNewsweek's America's Best High Schools in 2012. Ranking the top 1,000 high schools in the nation, Kings Park came in at 652.


Virginia Huie, a News12 Long Island reporter, was chosen to receive a prestigous regional Edward R. Murrow award for her writing. Murrow award recipients are chosen for demonstrating the excellence that renown journalist Edward R. Murrow made a standard for the electronic news profession. Huie's work was chosen out of more than 3,500 entries submitted for the regional competition. This is her fourth Edward R. Murrow award. 

Three Village

The Three Village Central School District confirmed Thursday that it postponed the National Honor Society induction, originally scheduled for this week, due to the  in two sections of an Advanced Placement class. The district said in a statement to Patch it will be rescheduled once the investigation is complete. The district would not say how many students on the list of honorees were involved in the investigation.
