July 29: Possibly Rainy, With a Good Chance of Friday

See what's going on around town to start your weekend off, before the rain possibly hits.

T.G.I.F.! Take a look at what's going on around Smithtown before you swing into the weekend...

1. is holding fun for kids, an education play time for kids ages 5 and over. Today's activities are about . The session runs from 10-11:30 a.m.

2. Drop by the Smithtown Township Arts Council from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. and see some art today. "" features work from 30 different artists. 

3. The Smithtown Center for the Performing Arts is presenting  tonight, starting at 8 p.m. Tickets are $28-$32 for adults and $18 for children and students, and can be purchased online.

5. According to the National Weather Service, a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms is forecasted during the day in Smithtown, with a 40 percent chance of rainfall at night.

"Why are Smithtown teachers continuing to pay for school supplies out of their ownRead More pocket?" Since when? Ever see the big list of supplies kids get in their folders at the end of the year for them to bring in next year? I think you're talking about the wrong school district.
