PHOTOS: State Transportation Workers Use Night to Clean Route 25, 25A

Workers from the New York State Department of Transportation cleaned state roads throughout Sunday night into Monday morning.

Maintenance workers from the New York State Department of Transportation took to Route 25 and Route 25A in St. James and Smithtown overnight to clean the roadways.

Doug Dabrowski, maintenance supervisor for the DOT, said the first priority of the night crew was to focus on removing debris from the roads, making them safe for morning drivers.
