Week in Review: Car Accident, Bank Robbery

A custody battle over the orphaned son of Katie Farrell, who was allegedly killed by East Northport native and ex-boyfriend James Schultz in a brutal murder-suicide, is playing in St. James, where a local doctor's office has hung a banner supporting keeping the boy with the Farrell family.

A two-car accident closed a section of Woodlawn Avenue Monday afternoon. A Suffolk County Police officer at the scene said the white Dodge Caravan and gray Pontiac Grand Prix were driving in opposite directions on Woodlawn Avenue when they sideswiped each other.

Suffolk County Police are currently investigating a bank robbery that took place Wednesday morning at Chase Bank in Hauppauge.
