Silly, Scarey, Old-Time Fun
Scarecrows
are soon to be on the loose again along the trails and in the gardens of Caleb
Smith State Park Preserve in Smithtown. The colorfully dressed characters,
created by adults and children, are the highlight of the free public event, the
Third Annual Scarecrow Trail, sponsored by the Friends of Caleb Smith Preserve.
Participants can pick up their reserved frame to decorate at home, then return the completed scarecrow to the Park by October 19, where they will be displayed throughout the park grounds until mid-November.
