100 for $100 Art Sale (Nov-Dec)

The Firefly Artists will be exhibiting over 100 pieces of art for $100 each from November 18th thru the end of the year.


Located at the Firefly Gallery (inside LaMantia Gallery) at 127 Main St., Northport, NY 


And will also hold two separate artists receptions:


-Sunday, November 18th from 3-5 pm


-Friday, December 14th from 6-8 pm 


The holiday reception on December 14th will feature eggnog, cookes and a grand prize raffle which includes beautiful art and whose profits wll be donated to  storm relief for Hurricane Sandy.


The Firefly Artists consist of eight Long Island fine artists working in mediums that include; oil, watercolor, acrylic, drawings, encaustic wax, ink, photography, etchings, lino-cuts, pottery, note cards, ceramics,  sculpture, jewelry, fabrics, pillows, scarves.   Originals and prints will be sold. 


Admission is free.

We can all make a statement one way or another when we vote. However, that statement should be madeRead More on a state level not the local level. Boards of Ed are powerless to do any real cost cutting. The state needs to take this on. We need real reform in Albany to reduce the ever increasing pensions and life long benefits that educators enjoy. Combine this with letting Albany decide salary increases for all educators and we can guaranty tax reductions over the next few years. Its that simple, Boards cannot do these. Lets get Albany to move on these NOW!
