GROWN-UP SHOW & TELL in recognition of Personal History Awareness Month (with special guests)

In recognition of Personal History Awareness Month, “Grown-Up Show & Tell,” a (free) nationwide event celebrating the stories behind our memorabilia, will join with the New York Times bestselling author of the memoir “Etched In Sand,” Regina Calcaterra, and Maria Bohrer, the author of “Sofia’s Stoop Story,” (both Long Island residents) for a one-time event. This exciting collaboration will be held at Barnes & Noble, located at 4000 East Jericho Turnpike, East Northport, New York on Saturday May 31, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.

In partnership with the Association of Personal Historians (APH), Show & Tell events occur throughout the nation in communities like ours, as well as abroad. Anyone is welcomed to join in the fun and the conversation. Participants don't need to show and tell – they can just look and listen.

For the Show & Tell portion of the event, each participant is asked to reveal the story behind the item s/he brought, whether it’s an English teapot, a rabbit’s foot, or his or her father’s WWII medals. Join us and share the history. It’s free, fun, and it’s heartwarming.

(✽ ✽ ✽ Regina's and Maria's books will be available for purchase. They'll gladly sign them for you. ✽ ✽ ✽)

Don't forget... put Saturday, May 31 @ 2:00 Barnes & Noble, 4000 East Jericho Turnike, East Northport, NY on your calendar!.

RSVP helpful but not necessary.

See you there! Deb :)
